Permalink Super Reverb Vibrato not working

New Topic

The vibrato from my super reverb is not working anymore.
I tested different foot switches and no progress.
I changed the tubes and no progress.

I opened up the chassis and I checked the roach for its blinking light.
The light responds to the adjustment of the Speed/Intensity.

I'm not sure what else to check.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Assuming a working footswitch and a known good tube it may be the resistor section of the roach. They do fail. It is possible to test them with a multi-meter if you are comfortable working on amps.

Otherwise the next most likely things would be one of the capacitors in the tremolo circuit, one of the resistors, the intensity pot, a ground connection or wiring issue.

Any other history on the amp?
