I built this head cabinet from scratch, using the build style of the speaker cabinet & the dimensions from the original black line silver face Bandmaster head.

This is the progress of the cabinet that I had refinished about 2 years ago to use with a different band. The grill cloth was really bright, I almost didn't like it. I'm happy with its latest iteration though, I don't see changing it ever again.

Nice.
I have a 68 bandmaster in a 1/12 combo box.
The thing is a workhorse, for sure. A nice mild edge of breakup at reasonable stage volumes. Enjoy.

Right. The lead guitar player in my country band turned me on to these, that’s actually his old speaker cabinet that he passed down to me. I’ve played countless shows with that cabinet and his blackface Bandmaster on the other side of the stage, never let him down.

It's more of a Star Wars reference than anything, playing off of the correct spelling of my first name.

Thanks for the compliment. I dig it.

The big 2x12’s are fun. Huge but not too heavy!

This is actually a 1x15, detuned.

D’oh! Replaced baffle?

Well, the cab was pretty trashed, so I actually just enlarged the top speaker hole to accommodate a 15. I did the same on the other speaker hole (intending to go 2x15) but I ended up running with just one speaker and really liked the sound, so I kept the bottom speaker hole open.

So the cab is relatively light, has great projection at a good height, rolls easily with the longboard trucks/wheels I threw on the bottom of it, and can be mic’ed up in different positions for different tones... which is great at home but not really an advantage in a live situation at the places I play at Smile

Rad! Can’t wait to hear it. Been talking to Finn about playing a Ft Wayne show in the spring!

Really?
Who are you, if you don’t mind me asking?

I play in the D-Rays. I’ve been friends with Bill for probably 20 years.
