Permalink New album almost finished!

New Topic

About a year ago we started thinking we should do a new album. Our previous record "Agravatin' Rhythms" about ran it's course so it was time for a new one. We had recorded Yuzo Kayama's "Three Blue Stars" for our last lp, and I thought it'd be cool to do another Eleki tune, Problem was which one? There were so many I fancied doing. Why not do all of them then? Everyone thought it was a great idea, so after a couple of false starts, we started recording in earnest (I posted a little about this in another thread that I'm too lazy to find at the moment). Now almost a year later we've got 4 reels chock full of our interpretations of Eleki classics!

We've still got a couple of overdubs to do, but all the basic tracks are done. I hope to start mixing soon, with an eye at getting this out by spring. As with our last record, this will be released by Cleopatra Records and should be available on vinyl, cd, and of course downloads and streaming.
The album is a mixture of some well known eleki classics, obscure gems, and some surfed up traditional japanese folk songs.
Can't wait to get this out. Stay tuned!
