Back in April 1, 1995 Paul Johnson put together a surf jam which featured 1st wave band members at the Hermosa Beach Lighthouse Club. Featured groups included Davie Allan, Chantays, Surfaris, and the Packards. Bob Demmon (Astronauts), Willy Glover (Pyramids), Jim Masoner (Lively Ones), also performed. I appeared on stage with Don Murray, John Blair, Paul Johnson, and Pete Curry. We performed The Curl Rider. Attached is the video of that performance.

Insect Dave grooving to the trad surf sounds with his energetic dance moves in front of the stage. His dance moves don't look too different 23 years ago!

1 year before I got into surf,
Damn it. Wish I was hip to it then.
Thanks for posting Bob.

There are still so many films in the vaults to be discovered or uploaded.
Having bought my first record in 1967 I was mostly late with surf music
but since the early 1970s I was trying to buy as many old or new
releases as my small budget would allow.
Since John Blair´s first surf record release in 1978
there were more surf records released than in the 1960s!
(New music as well as old ones in vinyl, compilation records or cds)
Most of the guys who discovered the old material and documented their findings in wonderful books are now retired and hopefully enjoying their
achievements!
