Man, I have been having a time getting a decent used Lacquer 60s Jaguar. Might have to order a new one from MF...on sale now for $871.99..used ones aren't that much less.....

Yeah, they are currently holding their value used. $821.99 isn't a bad price for the guitar. You'd be able to sell it used for $800, no problem.

Had to correct my post...it is $871.99...two month wait

There's a nice looking one on reverb for $650 plus $50 shipping, and he's willing to take offers. I'd bet $650 delivered would be easy to do.

Here is the ad. If you don't like it, I may have to get it to keep up with Kurkowski.

I've got this sweet custom Jaguar in the style of the Johnny Marr signature model. This guitar has gone through some very serious work to get it here, and you won't find a better deal on a Johnny Marr style jag, and you certainly won't find it this beautiful surf/seafoam green with a matching headstock. Here are the basics:

Body and neck are from VM jaguar. The wood and frets are the only real stock parts from this guitar. The neck has been professionally painted to match the body, and given vintage correct Fender decals.

Fender US mint green pickguard

Custom fabricated metal plates for switches. The switches are wired in 4-way series/parallel wiring scheme with the 2 filter switches. The functionality of these switches is identical to the Johnny Marr jag.

Thremolo Arm is Staytrem. Bridge is mustang style, but with adjustable saddle height. The bridge posts have been wrapped in copper tape to stop ir from "rocking" which helps immensely with tuning stability. Tuners are Wilkinson vintage style. Knobs are chrome flat top and the switch tip is also chrome, giving this guitar a beautiful look.

Pots are 1meg ohm CTS with organge drop tone cap. Wiring is all custom. Body cavities have conductive paint, plus copper foil and are all properly grounded using vintage style cloth covered wire.

The guitar will come with 2 sets of pickups. One is a custom wound set from Bare Knuckle pickups. These are wound to the same specs as the Johnny Marr models, but the same company. However, currently I have a set of Seymour Duncan quarter pounds installed, as the BNs were a little too thing sounding for me. But I will include both sets.

I love this guitar. It is amazingly beautiful and was a labor of love for me. I am loathe to give it up, but the truth is I have too many guitars and I just picked up a awesome vintage mustang, which covers my short scale needs.

Few notes about the pics. Since I took them I have removed the buzzstop and have added a beautiful surf green and black checker leather strap.

Price: $650. I will not accept anything less. I have though long and hard about what my true final price would be and this is it. Lower offers will be ignored.

I have been messaging with him. I might make an offer on it. Waiting to make sure I get my refund for one I bought that has some electrical issues.
