I'm looking at picking up a 65 PRRI, but can't decide on the 2 speaker options. I prefer the black amp over the tweed, but the tweed has the 12" Cannabis Rex and the black version has the 10" Jensen...any thoughts?

Guitar Center and Musician's Friend have a Special Edition Princeton in dark wine color tolex with a 12" Jensen P12Q speaker. IMO, the dark wine tolex looks great. That's what I'd go for. Something just not right about tweed on a blackface Fender. I also think there's a 15% off coupon for Black Friday weekend at GC and MF. |

You'll get more headroom and ump with a 12" but a more classic Princeton tone with the 10" - try both if you can. |

I’d go with the 12. —The artist formerly known as: Synchro When Surf Guitar is outlawed only outlaws will play Surf Guitar. Last edited: Nov 25, 2017 00:06:32 |

From my experience (the last of many speakers installed in my '66 BFDR) the Cannabis Rex is an outstanding speaker - detailed, warm, and loud. Last edited: Nov 25, 2017 11:47:17 |
