If I were looking for a JM the G&L appearance would not sway me for or against. Weight might. So now should we all fess up about: who here has grown children (or is otherwise somewhat aged), who here else has a day job not associated with music, who babies his guitars (at least never takes them outside the house)? (Probably without having to dig too deep into their pockets, either.) Given the fact that Dick Dale has children, I suppose that would make his Strat, aka 'The Beast' the most famous guitar in all of Surf music, a "dad guitar". So what would I call this new offset G & L? A Jazzmaster inspired guitar for people who, for whatever reason, don't want to play a traditional, authentic Fender Jazzmaster. Nah, this is a direct competitor to Fender's hipster models, I agree. G&L always had this "working man's guitar" quality to them, not so?
