I found a beauty of a guitar and need to clear out some gear to come up with the funds. This Gomez is in fantastic condition, sounds great, and works as it should. I just don't use it enough to keep it around at the moment. Thanks a lot and fire away with any questions.

Haha! Thanks!

It may be helpful to clarify if this was one completed by Dario or if it was built from these, these, or this.

I am the second owner, but I believe this is a Dario original. And seeing as how my new (vintage) guitar is on its way, this really has to go now! So please get in touch if you want a killer spring reverb unit that sounds as surfy as it gets.

No question it is an original build.

Thanks, Jake. I didn't have a reason to think otherwise, but this being the only Gomez unit I have ever used means I didn't have a point of reference otherwise! Ha.

I can't believe it's still available. Confused Confused Best Reverb unit quite passably made other then a original Fender.

The original Fenders vary quite wildly in what you get out of them. The Gomez is rock solid.

$750 is a very fair price. I have three...

Agreed. I've had good, great, and ho-hum vintage Fender reverb units. Every single Gomez unit has been great. I only have one, but my vintage '62 Fender unit comes in third behind the Gomez and my Texotica.

Really wish I had gotten a Texotica. He wasn't around very long, great looking unit. Matt, how do you rate it next to the Gomez? There must be 10 Gomez units for every Texotica one (at least among surf players).

I've played a Texotica amp, it was incredible. The Presidio 15, and it was only $1049... No wonder why he couldn't stay in business. No margins, certainly giving labor away.

The Texotica was and is my main unit. I REALLY like mine a lot and at the time, it was a steal. Yes, it's too bad he didn't stay in business because he did great work. I still have my T-shirt that came with the unit, too. For the price, nothing compared to the it.

Put it this way, I'd play out now anytime with the Texotica and I always used it and only it live. The Gomez, for some reason, stays at home and I only use it at home. I don't know why, but that's what I do. I won't ever part with my Texotica.

The Texotica cut through better? Better treble? The Fender units that are better than Gomez all have a little more high end drip, while maintaining the low.

In my opinion, yes.

I'll agree. Those Gomez units are amazing for sure (at least the ones I've played through), but my Texotica is the champ. SO glad that I got one before he closed up!

I have had 2 Gomez -G-Spring Reverb units both were identical in performance however, I've had at least 10 Vintage Fender units and only one that I still use today, it's a 65 Black unit that has the absolute best drip ..
If I were inclined and needed one more unit I would most certainly buy the Gomez-G-Spring! Big Grin

Still available, surfers!
