You're a little over 100 miles from me. I couldn't get away this time, but I'll try to keep my time available for your next one. Congratulations on the show, and the interview! —This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got. |

Thanks Noel! That would be fantastic to finally meet! Our next gig is at Jilly's Music Club in downtown Akron and it will be our CD release party with Surfer Rex and The Del Rios. Doc from The Beyonderers will be there but they could not play this gig. There may be a large Ohio surf show in August in Akron also. We are trying to make a huge event out of it it with multiple bands. —The Kahuna Kings https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Kahuna-Kings/459752090818447 |

That actually looks very doable. For living so close, it is about time we met! Gonna be a busy weekend though. The McCartney Experience on Saturday, and the Yankees here against the Pirates on Sunday. I put it on the fridge calendar, so it's OFFICIAL! Is it all-ages? —This is Noel. Good for you and great interview! Looks like your band's hard work and dedication to the genre is paying dividends. You guys should really consider wearing some sort of outfits, suits or something. It really seems like the only thing missing imho. Best regards, |

Great! I really enjoyed that, and just shared it on FB. You've got a convert's passion for surf music and it really comes through in the very cool interview - I definitely appreciate that! Congratulations on the feature, the shows and the new CD! Greatly looking forward to the Blair Pongracic Band playing with the Kahuna Kings (and Surfer Rex) in Cleveland in June! Thanks so much everyone! Such kind words from all! I'm verclempt! What I said about how good the surf community is to it's brethren, fans and music in general is on display in this thread! Danny and Las have great ideas so we are currently studying our stage appearance and have hired a consultant. She comes highly rated! — The Kahuna Kings https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Kahuna-Kings/459752090818447 |

Great read, Dave. No one can ever point to the Kahuna Kings and say "you didn't build that." That interview is full of quotables. My favorite that inspired getting the "Mute" button installed at the local gas station's pumps - "Pop is just a meal of empty calories." Drive On!
