I "discovered" a new surf/instro group in SLC (a rarity in this city for sure). While they've played several gigs over the past few years, I hadn't heard about them until recently. They were kind enough to invite me to a house concert (with great homebrew English ale). I immediately noticed the Burns guitar used by the lead player, which explained why their sound was more like the Shadows than a surf group. Most of the tunes were originals, and quite good.
