Surf Camp is 1 month away! BE THERE!

23 Days, time to start packing!

This is self-explanatory, but recital night at SSMC shines.

Less than two weeks! it's GO GO GO time!

Who is in for this year?

When you have to shoot ... shoot! Don't talk.
"Los Grainders"
"Planeta Reverb"

Are you going Emilio?

Packing up the gear, heading out the door in a few ;)
See you fellow csmpers up there.

I've made it to the last 3 Sierra Surf Camps. I'm super bummed that I have to miss it. Financial priorities and time off from work just didn't line up this year. Hopefully next year!

Have a good, safe Camp everyone! Be sure to post pics and vids and thoughts when everyone gets back!

Have a great time everyone!

It's hard to put to words the feeling of Sierra Surf Music Camp. It's a group of new and old friends coming together to celebrate, discuss and learn about surf music. But it's more than that. It's an experience in the woods with folks that have a love for a music. No one asks why your band doesn't have a vocalist. No one says, "like the Beach Boys."

For me it is very comfortable and energizing.

My favorite part is seeing people develop their skills over the years that we have done it. 6 years down. Many former campers couldn't attend this year because they are now in active surf bands with paying gigs. This is a great measure of success for our camp. A few of the campers we've watched grow up in to fine humans and incredible musicians.

So how did camp go this year? For me it was pretty magical.

Paul, just looking at the pics on FB, it's great to see so many new student faces. Danny and I both really missed being there this summer, and hopefully can return next year.
