There's not much between a 50pence pick and an 800quid reverb unit is there? If anyone wants to buy me a reverb tank fro Christmas I promise I'll put them on my Christmas card list for, like, forever!

Not bad. They could've used a 60's-Series Strat (which are VERY nice these days) instead of the lipstick thing. I think the coolest thing is that they even bothered to target an ad effort in this theme.

Nice that Fender recognise surf musicians as potential buyers.

On a side note though. With Donald threatening to bring business back home or be punished, I wonder what the gift list would look like in 2017.

The new American Professional Jazzmaster and Jaguar have a redesigned trem bar collet. Holds the screw-in trem bar perfectly, with just the right amount of tension. No odd-ball, one of a kind trem bar, as you can use a Strat bar if you lose the original trem bar.

Hats off to Fender for recognizing us Surf musicians and fans!

METEOR IV on reverbnation

I wonder what SG101ers think of the new American Professional line replacing the American Standard line?

You could get yourself a $50 strat tee shirt. Yawn.

Still a cool article. Since my beloved Squier Classic Vibe 50's (Olympic + Anodised) and the '63 Tube Reverb are no more... here's my updated christmas list:

  • Squier Classic Vibe 60's Jaguar obviously in Silver Sparkle, since that's what I just actually bought.

  • Squier Classic Vibe 60's Bass VI in Silver Sparkle. I SAID FENDER, 60'S SILV... oh whatever. The 70's in Purple Metallic is also good.

  • Tre-Verb Tremolo/Reverb Computatron I mean really a Surfy Bear Classic, but it's a Fender list, right so we have to lump what they offer? Plus a Rumble 200 Bass Amp since appropriate tube amps are either gone, or stupid money.

  • All the Fender picks I like are gone too, so ... Extra Heavy Celluloid, I guess?.

  • Thankfully the correct Fender cable remains. I've broken my first in 10 years, need to make use of that lifetime warranty!

  • Edit: Forgot the clothing. Wow, Fender's merch is terrible right now. Oh well, pride shirt is least worst and includes a charitable donation, so that.

What can you tell about this Classic Vibe 60 Jaguar? I am also looking at it but read many complaints on quality and playability.
