Ok, it has finally been available to the public now since Aug. 29.

Anyone dove in? Any reactions, impressions, experiences they'd like to share?

This thing could seriously change everything.

I'm not in the market for a new bass amp, I've got a GK MB800 that I use at home (and for jams, since it fits in the front pocket of a gig bag) and a big custom 300W tube head in storage, but I'd really like to try one of these out. Had I the means, I would definitely pick up one of these and a 101 for guitar. Everything I've read/heard/seen about them is great.

Lorenzo mentioned using it in the Pro Block thread, perhaps he will chime in here...

As you know I reviewed already and I have been using the Pro block before it actually came out last January. I even recorded live on KFJC without a reverb tank or pedal. I used for long the Tone Block before and now even using Bass Block for bass. Let's say I am "Quilter" artist Smile

Any updates? Recent buyers? Lorenzo, would you like to give your impressions of it so far?

One did get used during Phantom Frank's set at the convention, as the tube amp started to die during Messer Chups' set, and I believe it was used again at the pier the whole next day.

I had the opportunity to check one out yesterday. It's incredibly powerful, and I could not get a bad sound out of it. There are so many useful classic sounds available with the turn of a knob or two. The gain set on 10 isn't too dirty, but it got this wonderful SVT-like grind that was really fun to play.

I'm not a bass player 95% of the time, but I'd definitely pick one of these up if I felt I could make use of it.

Bump.

I heard the Bass Block was on the drawing board way back, due to regulations it took a while to get through.

A friend of mine picked one up after getting some long distance fly gigs and has been using it exclusively since.
He reports that the Bass Block keeps surpassing his expectations and needs.
Loves the full, low end and power.
He's had SVT's and the like through the years and has experimented with other class D heads but prefers this overall right now.
While visiting a few years ago he was impressed enough with my Quilter guitar amp that he took the chance on the Bass Block.
He also liked the company's track record with customer service and that the unit is made in the U.S.
