It's OK, I figured it out. Brain is a little slow today! — |

How could I make it better? I admit the labels are a bit terse as I wanted them to all fit in one row on desktop browsers. Maybe change the button that says "Profile" to "Edit"? —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

Actually, that might have helped me a little, but as I said, I got there eventually and my brain was working rather slowly today, so it's probably fine as it is. — |

Ok well if you think of anything please let me know. I'm getting about 0 feedback on the new design. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

Hi Brian - I mostly access the site via phone or tablet and it always works smoothly and looks great Many years ago I made a few simple websites for local businesses and schools and so I have a vague idea of the effort that you must put in here. I hope you don't mind me saying what a great job you do. I get a lot more out of the site than I could ever hope to put in - the people who post here are a fantastic crowd and there's always something interesting or entertaining (and occasionally controversial!) to read - but it's what you do that makes it possible - so, Thank You! Thank you Roger and Jamie!! Roger, I'm slowly converting the site over to a responsive design, which means the site will scale and change what it shows depending on what device you are using to browse (desktop, phone, or tablet). Right now it obviously works, but you have to do a lot of scrolling left and right on small devices (it's pretty awful actually). There are a lot of pages to convert and I can only work on it a few hours a week, so it's going slow. The forums and home page will probably be the last to convert, we'll see. The new design is very functional and responsive; I'm just not completely happy with how it looks and the color choices could use improving. I hope to pretty it up once all the pages are converted (or I get some help before that). Thanks again, I appreciate it. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea Last edited: Sep 03, 2016 10:33:21 |

I think you're being a little hard on yourself Brian! I hardly notice the scrolling on my phone and it's fine on my tablet. To me the site looks and works better than many "commercial" sites that I see. They presumably have more time and money to throw at it - but obviously not as much skill and dedication! —Wherever you go, there you are http://rogerfowles.co.uk/ |

I'll be very happy when you no longer have to scroll left-right when viewing the forums on a phone. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

I made some small changes to the profile page. Hopefully it is clearer how to edit your profile and avatar. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |
