Permalink Shitones - "Rawhide"

New Topic

This is a very spare version of "RAWHIDE" - Jim Thomas is playing an accoustic guitar - by The Shitones. Footage from The Park Chalet is mixed in with the roadhouse scene from The Blues Brothers. After 7 years of playing every thursday night at the Park Chalet, the Shitones were dumped, so this is a cool memory of that scene.

damn!

...that's a GREAT band name!...

Shitones...

you could even pronounce it "shy-tones" for those upper-crusty type gigs...

Great!
Thanks for the link.
Jim Thomas rules!

Dumped from the Chalet? That sucks. I always vowed that some day I'd go see them, but figured that since they'd be playing every Thursday 'till the end of time so never felt a pressing need. Confused
But last weekend at bay to breakers I decided to walk over to see them at the Chalet after seeing Meshugga Beach Party. It took an unexpected hour long to get there, and where we had parked it would take about an hour and a half to get back to the car, so given the time constraints we got to see the Shitones for all of fifteen minutes and the Mermen for all of zero... Dammit.
