Robert J. Dalley Publications proudly announces the release of Surfin’ Guitars Instrumental Surf bands Of The Sixties. The printed 3rd edition is available on Amazon Create. You may order a copy at: https://createspace.com/5862474 for $59.95 plus shipping. This 420 page tome, regarded by many as the “bible of surf music”, has been fully revised and expanded to 59 surf groups from the 1960’s including Manuel & the Renegades, New Dimensions, Newport Nomads, Rhythm Kings, Surf Teens, Teenbeats, Trademarks, Vara-Tones, Velvetones and Zorba & the Greeks. Most of the photos, record LP covers, 45rpm labels and posters are now in color. Surfin’ Guitars will soon**** be available to download as an E book.
Thanks to all of you for your support, patience, suggestions and other contributions you have provided over the years since my book was first published in 1988. Enjoy and keep surf music alive!

Awesome!
I sold my first addition years ago. This will be a nice update to my collection.

From bio: "He has worked for more than 26 years as a professional genealogist."
What a cool skillset to bring to the historiography of the music.
This one's goin' on the shelf!

W O O T ! W O O T! Got my copy today! Everyone, repeat after me one thousand times:
THANK YOU BOB ! ! !
Such an amazing collection of Surf history.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've some 400+ pages to get caught up on!
PS - I only realized it when opening my package, but Ivan, your feedback on the early version cover shoot that had a post-first wave Strat must have been picked up by Bob in time for pressing

I believe it! I've had the second edition for some 20 years now, and it's been an invaluable source! I'll be picking up the 3rd edition soon.

Sorry, what? I don't remember that. Was that on SG101?
Have fun, Fady!

What a wondrous book. I'm going through it little by little...
and it's already cost me money!
With scholarly mention of the 2 Adrian & The Sunsets bootlegs (Breakthrough) he also mentions that it has been re-released on Sundazed. Great work Bob! I'm looking forward to this being next to my turntable soon.
And that's just the first entry.
