The best venue in town to see live music!

My wife and I are making a night of it, and this will be my first ever time The Variety Playhouse. Really stoked for this one.

Crap, wish I had known about this earlier - the wife and I will be at the Brian Setzer show the same evening.

LSJ used to play Atlanta shows on a pretty regular basis, not so much these days.

The Variety is also my favorite local live venue.

This still REALLY surprises me.

Jack! Unless you are going to Charlotte, BSO at Cobb Energy is Saturday 12/5. You could do both! Big Grin

Dang, that is correct! Yet another Senior Moment. But unfortunately we have another pre-scheduled music outing on the 4th - I have a singer/songwriter/guitarist/saxophonist friend that I do some studio bass work with who is playing on the 4th and we promised to come out and support him.

Also looking forward to Setzer. His Christmas show is great and Cobb Energy is a decent venue if you avoid the nosebleed section or are too far to the left or right of the stage.

But I haven't experienced another medium-large venue in the the Atlanta area that matches The Variety, IMO. I'm on their mailing list, I can't believe I missed the LSJ notice unless it was a late booking. Cry

Hot Damn!

What a great surprise birthday present this week for Ed!

Wonders never cease. Have not zeroed in on Los Straitjackets live since their show at Wolf Trap with Laika and the Cosmonauts.

This is going to be a great December for music in Atlanta.

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?

Happy birthday, Eddie!

When I saw that Los Straitjackets were going to be in town I was really excited until I realized that my daughter's choir was performing that night. Oh well, family comes first, but I do hope to catch LSJ the next time. At least I'll be able to catch Chad Shivers and The Silent Knights' Christmas show the following weekend.

Enjoy the show!
