Well folks soaks and sore-heads, for your viewing pleasure I am providing some pics from my big photo-shoot this past weekend on the lovely beaches of the mighty Lake Eire.

Yes, the guy holding the guitar is me, aka the Syndicate of Surf.

It was a classic surf event in that I played about 6 songs along with my CD and NO ONE paid us the slightest attention. My son said you could hear the music clear out to the water and beyond.

For you gearheads, here's how we went about supplying the power to the gear:

And for you purists, here's a shot with a proper surf guitar, wiggle-stick included. Yes, I realize the guitar is unplugged. Good job catching that detail.

This one's my favorite. How awesome am I!?!?

Here's the crew. My son Chaz was on beach security and his lovely gal-friend Sam was our shutterbug.

It was a great day, 85 degrees with a slight breeze. About 3 hours total shooting and then I went and did this:

Thanks for viewing! May the Surf be with you!

Very cool, great guitars (and bass)you have there. Looks like you had a lot of fun. And it's uncanny but you look exactly like your avatar. (cough)

More cowbell?? Nah...More Reverb!!

Love the Silvertone and amp in case. For me, that is the surf guitar of the bunch.

As a curious northeastern Ohio native, what beach was that??

Cool pics, cool idea. Can't believe no one noticed.....

That would be Nickle Plate Park in Huron. It was between that and East Harbor. As kids mom would take us to one or the other as many times as we could beg her to. Nickle Plate is smaller but more picturesque, also a much shorter drive. We shot some pics on the limestone boulders that go out to the lighthouse and the same rank dead fish smell I remember from ages ago is still there. And tons of poison ivy! Good times.

Thanks Jeff! For a poor hodad like me I found the show very educational. The Turtles used to be a surf band and then switched sides???

And all this time I thought the Beatles ruined everything. Who woulda guessed it was Flo and Eddie???

Duh
