Great idea!

Where does Lorenzo get his energy to all the surf stuff he does?

Will John & Ivan record an album?

What does "The Tremolo Beer Gut" think of the song "Tremolo Gear Butt"?

The Scimitars

Edit: forget about the question to Messer Chups, it was too long ago.

Great question! I'll tell you what I think - I love it! My favorite from their live shows last year.

I'm back playing keys and guitar with Combo Tezeta

I don't have any questions now, I just hope there's no dropouts on my internet feed so I get to hear all of it. Smile

For all bands.
Do they think the surf scene is better in Europe or USA?

Jeff(bigtikidude)

for Satan's Pilgrims ... When and why you decided to play with 3 guitars?
for Messer Chups ... What about the Surf scene in Russia? Are you the only guys that play that kind of stuff there?

When you have to shoot ... shoot! Don't talk.

For The Taikonauts: What bands are your influences? I hear some Man or Astroman in your sound and approach. Are they an influence? Also, how do you trigger all of those samples on stage? And finally: WHEN ARE YOU COMING TO USA??? Big Grin

John/Ivan... what brought this collective about?

Niels, GREAT idea of the John/Ivan/JP/Dane collaboration at the festival. That would make a phenomenal NSSR fund-raiser.

john/ivan/JP/Dane... you guys are like a Frankenstein "super group" surf band. Who would you like to see from other bands make up a similar Frankenstein group?

Hey josheboy, actually our influences are very wide... François, on of our two guitarists, has been a long time Surf Music fan. He had the idea to form the band. Jean-Michel played bass with him in another band, and our lead guitarist Joël was their light engineer. I had several bands with Jean-Michel for at least 20 years.

So basically, excepting for François, the rest of us got into Surf quite recently, when the band was created 6 years ago. Naturally we all knew some Surf songs and bands, but not as deeply as now Smile

We all listen to many music styles, it's hard to pick a major influence... Let's say it goes from Johnny Cash to Morbid Angel :). Man Or Astroman? are sincerely not especially an influence, but we respect and like them a lot!

As for the samples, the bass player triggers them with a stereo Digitech JamMan at his feet.

And finally, we would love to come to the US, so I guess we'll be there as soon as somebody invites us...! Smile

Cheers !
