Permalink Last night (Sept 29 2014) I went to see "DJANGO GUITAR NIGHT" @ "The Cutting Room" (NYC) starring 94-Year-Old AL CAIOLA (and 6 others)

What a special night of live music I was privileged to witness and experience last evening at THE CUTTING ROOM, a club in NYC (co-owned by Actor CHRIS NOTH btw, hence the name of the venue)

It was billed as DJANGO GUITAR NIGHT, with 7 killer guitarists rippin' through some terrific standards, and even some classical music

I shot 3 videos, I will post them here hopefully tomorrow

For starters I did not even know AL CAIOLA was still alive! I can report he is very much alive -- sharp as Hell, his playing was wonderful, and he was kind enough to sign 5 of my vinyl LP's! (see below)

After the concert, AL was kind enough to also let me take a few pictures.

First, here I am surrounded by 2 guitar legends!
BUCKY PIZZARELLI (left)
AL CAIOLA (right)

and here are 2 of Me w/ AL CAIOLA (couldn't decide which 1 I liked more, so what the Hell ... here are both)

check back for the videos if you are interested; what a blast!!
