Today is the 10th anniversary of the very first Madeira gig, at Zanies Too in Indianapolis! Check out the videos of Sandstorm and the Space Cossacks' Planet of the Apes from that gig - damn, we were young! (Scott Waddell on bass - Todd joined us in '05. The video shot by Brian Neal - I think the first concert videos he ever shot and posted on YouTube! He was there from the beginning for us - what a guy!) REALLY hard to believe it's been 10 years since then.... —Ivan |

Wow... I can't believe it's been 10 years! Congrats to the band, you've accomplished a lot! I remember that show very well... (My wife shot the videos.) —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

Congratulations on The Madeira's Tenth Anniversary! Your contributions to surf music are heard in all the artists you've inspired. Yet no other band sounds like you. You're unique and exceptional music is timeless. Have a wonderful show! —This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got. |

Some neat data (because the Madeira's webmaster keeps meticulous records): In 10 years: Plus 3 full albums, an EP, and now a live album. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

Thank you very much, Noel, Jeff and Brian, we greatly appreciate it! Brian, of course, it was Shari that shot the videos - sorry! Thanks for the data, though. We were supposed to have a show couple of weeks ago with Daikaiju, which would have made our 10th anniversary show also our 100th show, but then the darn thing was canceled. So, now our 100th show will be opening for Dick Dale - which ain't too bad, either. —Ivan Last edited: Jun 05, 2014 09:12:27 |

If someone had told me 15 years ago my two good buddies Patrick, and Ivan would one day combined their talents to form one the greatest modern day surf instro acts I would have thought you were joking, but somehow with the help of Dane, and Todd they managed to pull it off with even more style and finesse than I ever imagined possible. Bravo! Very proud, and a little jealous I guess too. —Reverb, It's A Way Of Life! |

In just three days!! To get you ready, you can now DOWNLOAD three tracks (Farthest Shore, Everybody Up!, Burning Mirage) from Sonic Cataclysm: http://themadeira.net/songs/ Hope to see some of you Saturday!! We've got Brian, Warren (AKA Captain Springfield), Bob Walk (AKA SurfKing) and Jeremy (ex-)Aqualad all coming from some distance, along with of course the two bands - we can't wait to see them all again! It's gonna be a great party! —Ivan |

Thanks very much, Ryan! Rick, we're so excited you're able to join us again - it's ALWAYS a pleasure and honor to have one of greatest surf bands of the past 20 years play with us! brandonio wrote:
