Hello people, I finally open my own thread about the radio program. I should have had to do this from the beginning... anyway we start now on Week 47 for the second part of this great game launched by the radio about:

VOTE YOUR FAVORITE 10 REVIVAL SURF SONGS

We as DJs have the chance to play actually 15 songs, but only 10 of those will be counted as votes. Like anyone else. But playing 15 gives us the chance to fill the entire program hour.
So this is my top 15 here...

  1. Kilaueas - Bernard Of Hollywood
  2. Danny Amis - Tailspin
  3. Slacktone - Bells Of St. Kahuna
  4. Frankie & The Poolboys - Ewa On The Beach
  5. Bradipos IV - Kissin’ Bonobo Roll
  6. Jon & The Nightriders - Rumble At Waikiki
  7. Space Cossacks - Tsar Wars
  8. Bahareebas - Asian Quicksoup
  9. Frankie & The Poolboys - Skinny Dippin’
  10. Los Straitjackets - Hornet’s Nest
  11. Insect Surfers - Mojave
  12. Fathoms - The Palomino
  13. Surfites - Tail Slide
  14. Madeira - Undercurrents
  15. Dick Dale - Nitro

Like I say in today's program, choosing the songs has been very hard for me. I have many many songs in my head and they are at the same level in my heart.
It has been easier for me anyway to select these revival songs than the 60s classics, probably because of my attachment to the first wave surf music.

So check out the program today saturday at 5pm CET.

Tuned in from the beginning, Lorenzo, great job with the list, and thanks so much for all the nice things you said about the Cossacks and Tsar Wars! As always, I'm really enjoying your in-between-songs chatter - "I have to talk in between songs or my name wouldn't be Surfer Joe but iPod!" Laughing Nice.

Enjoying the radio program. We like 'em fast. Also enjoying the comments. Thanks.

"Boy oh boy, I must go back to my friend Ivan Pongracic once again. I mentioned him three times in this program already, that must make him happy."

Mr. Green Yes, sir!

(Though, of course, Undercurrents was written by Patrick, so you could have instead mentioned him!)

Thanks again, Lorenzo!

Hola amigos!
The new Surfer Joe Playlist is coming up tomorrow at 5pm CET. You know your time conversion... otherwise look on Google, you are not stupid!

Cool stuff as usual, oh... I will talk about Pacific Lions, Pacific, Atlantic, new stuff, some new songs... blah blah blah.

Yeah too much blah blah blah could be a bad thing.
But I love when Lorenzo says Par Tic Uh Lahr

New program coming up tomorrow... nice music from the 60s on.
Actually I will play a couple of hard to find songs from a modern surf band, Supertubos, and present some new tunes also.

Check it out on NSSR at 5pm CET.

Ready for your show and curious about "Supertubos". I just know their "La Fórmula de Papini" album and really like it.

Cool show happening, yup. Grand-kids safely on their way and the volume is UP! Let it snow...., etc.
Cool

Edit 0158 UTC: That was indeed a great program; so worthwhile that these are rerun.
