Oh, man, I don't like these kinds of hypotheticals! Probably my fiesta red one, that one's been with me for 27 years, been used for a lot of recordings and lot of tours. But I do have a strong attachment to all of these by now, for various reasons. Love 'em all!! —Ivan |

As much as I would like something less "pedestrian", I love my Strats. I keep coming back to them. Here is my trio. A 1976 hardtail that went through the flood of 2011. The electronics were cleaned up, and it's been a player ever since. The middle one is a 1983 American Strat (2 knob). Some people hate these guitars, but it's a great player. I don't even mind the Free-Flyte tremolo. The third is my 1991 American Standard. In 1996, I got into a single-vehicle car accident. I wasn't hurt, but my only electric guitar (a Gibson Les Paul), was decapitated during the accident. I needed an affordable electric to tide me over while the LP was being fixed. The local guitar shop made me a deal that I couldn't refuse on this Strat. I hated almost everything about it. The color is not ideal, I've swapped all the pickups and electronics, added locking tuners, and a graphite nut and saddles. It still is not one of my favorite guitars, but I doubt I'll get rid of it. It's just a workhorse. Last edited: Apr 02, 2017 10:49:08 |

It’s OT, but does this bass have f-holes in the bottom? —The Exotic Guitar of Kahuna Kawentzmann You can get the boy out of the Keynes era, but you can’t get the Keynes era out of the boy. |

Do you mean the back? If so, no. That's the front (top)that you can see. There are currently no strings on the upright. Actually, there is currently no neck on the bass. It needs to be reset. |

Here's my sunburst Strat Plus from the 90s. I replaced the lace sensor pick ups with Seymour Duncan lipstick tube pick ups. The volume is a pull pot to activate the bridge pick up in positions 2-5. One of my main guitars. I feel like owning one Strat is inadequate for this post. Lol
