got this Email from Rick of the Halibuts about some videos that had been posted.
1 production video from the 80s
a bunch of tunes from SXSW in Austin Tx. in 95
and a song from a show in Davis Ca.

"A bunch of new (old) stuff 80's and 90's just got posted to YouTube.
Finally lots of footage when Mike Palm was in the band."

I love that fish stuffed into the sax. Great shtick!!

Wow, great videos, thanks. Looks like Pete Curry doing lead on Let's Go Trippin'. Dig the band member wearing a Jimmy'z A-bomb blast T-shirt in Shorepound vid. Jim Ganzer put out some great surf-skate wear in the 80's-90's. Halibut in the sax, too good.

Cool! Rick said this about the "Let's Go Trippin'" video on Facebook:

A long time ago, we got invited to play at a music conference. All these music execs had to suffer thru a bunch of sleepy indie bands all claiming to be the next best thing. Yawn... We finally got to play. I think they had a good time...

Was that Dave Arnson in the SxSW part 1 video?

Too bad the videos in this thread have all either disapeared or set to private. No

But here is something else:

Los Apollos - cinematic surf music trio (Berlin)
"Postcards from the Scrapyard" Vol. 1, 2 & 3 NOW available on various platforms!
"Chaos at the Lobster Lounge" available as LP and download on Surf Cookie Records!

Thank you. That was great. Smile

The Halibuts also appeared at the first
"South Bay Surf Band Reunion Concert" October 10th, 1986.
Ask Paul Johnson or Domenic Priore if they still have copies for sale.
A documentation not only with the concerts but also interviews of all
bands and more. Really great stuff that really nobody should miss in his collection.
