It was a ES-345 in Back to the Future. That scene took place in 1955, obviously that guitar wasn't around at that point. Perhaps they realized this but decided the homage to Berry was much more important.

right! i got it wrong too!
And i agree.. an homage to berry. And with busey, it was filmed when there seemed to be less of an accuracy for gear (even though we were all watching). still dig the movie even though so much was "contrived".

Hell, I claim I have a "Back to the Future Guitar" whenever laypersons ask me about what guitars I have. If I saw any other model I just confuse them, but most people get that.
I have an ES-355, so not quite a "Back to the Future Guitar" but most guitarists can't list the differences.
