Actually, we do get snow here on the Big Island.
There has been snow on Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa down
to about the 8000 Feet above sea level.
So, you can swim in the ocean and gaze upon their Majestic
Beauty.

Big Tiki Dude,
I remember that snow in LA in 1955!
We lived in Altadena, near the Rose Bowl.
I was 8 years old...

ya'll having weather problems?? we spent the day sitting on the patio, in shorts, listening to the frogs!! walked the beach this morning in t-shirts!!! been tough on us!!! Thumbs Up

Enjoying the surf,sun and sand!!

Hahahaha! More snow overnight into tomorrow and probably no school, again! These kids'll still be in school in July.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

Noel, my friends in VA missed so much school already, the jokes that were flying around seem to be slowly turning into a possibility! CRAZY!!! And here people are loving the pre-Spring Winter. They won't be loving it in July when it's 120 degrees again!

I feel like this thread could be started any day this winter. My feelings are best expressed in this Art Brut song:

Ok so were finally getting some needed rain.
I just heard on the news, that when the big surge
Comes on Friday, there could be Tornados.
Wtf????

White out, not wipe out, white blowing snow no viz.

This is nuts, the heck with it I am working from home today. This sub zero stuff is for the birds. The missus and I have been watching a show called Buying Hawaii, I am so ready ! ! !

I was offered a job there 12 years ago with the company I used to work for. Why oh why didn't I take it!

-Harry

It finally rained a little bit last night in LA. First time my lawn has seen a drop of water in months. But it won't help unless there are a lot more storms where that one came from. This is the worst drought of my entire life, easily worse than the one in the mid-70s.

Squink Out!

Woke up to -18°F this morning; not a wind-chill, that was the static temp. Coffee pot & warm tubes; life is good.
Sure is a long radius in the turn to spring.

Well I guess I shouldn't complain compared
To below freezing temps, and crazy amounts if snow.
But I just got home from workin my pool route,
Shoes n socks are soaked. Time for a warm shower.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Heavy rains on & off today in SoCal.
I had to go to the office in San Juan Capistrano today around 3:30.
Ortega Hwy was closed just North of Antonio Pkwy due to rock slides
and mud slides.
