I still can't get the hang of the new format. I can't figure out why my replies are part of the quotation.

Just make sure you have a blank line between the text you are quoting and your text.

A good example (notice the blank line):

> I still can't get the hang of the new format. I can't figure out why my replies are part of the quotation.

Here is my reply.

It looks like this:

I still can't get the hang of the new format. I can't figure out why my replies are part of the quotation.

Here is my reply.

Now here is a bad example (notice no blank line):

> I still can't get the hang of the new format. I can't figure out why my replies are part of the quotation.
Here is my reply.

It looks like this:

Hope that helps!

Also, there is really no need to make your quotes more than 2 or 3 deep. You can always scroll up if you need to review a previous message. Just use some common sense and edit the post down to just the relevant parts you are replying to.

A public service announcement.

Here is how you quote someone's message. Click the cartoon balloon in the lower right of a post you want to quote:

quote1

Then you will see the usual email style quoting in the post box:

quote2

Make sure there is a blank line between the quoted text and your new text. How do you know if you got it right? Click the green check mark to preview your post (circled in red).
