Hey!
So my band finally has a name and a sweet myspace site to go with it. Take a gander and tell me what you guys think about the two tunes we have up there.

The sound is LowFi but the playing is great! A surf band from the land of Phish.... Buy Speed of Dark @ Bandcamp |

Oh, and "LowFi" is not a bad thing... Is that what you were going for? Buy Speed of Dark @ Bandcamp |

hehe funny you should ask... We recorded bass, guitars and drums on my sony handheld cassette recorder (immediately after I taught the guys the songs). Then we transferred it onto my buddy's DAW and he laid down some keys and the lasers which actually do a really good job of covering up the awful hiss from the tape recorder, and the fact that the bass guitar didn't come out much on the tape. So we really didn't have a choice of going low-fi or not! But I guess the effect served the tunes well and I'm glad you guys dug the tunes. I'm looking forward to gigging with this band. |

Cool. Just yesterday we jammed with a prospective drummer in Essex Junction. Geez, we're only a few months old and we're already looking for drummer number three...... |
