Red Yamaha SG-3 in very good condition. All original except for the knobs (which look from a Tele) and new whammy bar (from a Jazzmaster - fits perfectly). Body is in excellent shape with only a few small dings. Electronics and switches work fine.

$650 + Shipping (or pickup in Baltimore, MD)

I have a decent hard shell Jazz bass case for it (doesn't fit in a regular size guitar case - its kinda long) that I will throw in for $50.

Yes it is, but, correct me if I'm wrong, the neck is not normally mounted via the neckplace (as it is on most guitars) - its screwed directly into the wood. There are 4 little holes there that you can see that I believe hold what amounted to a truss rod cover on. You access the truss rod through that back cavity. Either way, it was missing when I bought the guitar 15 years ago and has never been an issue.

You are correct - the neck plate is just a plate to cover the truss rod access.

Cool looking guitar -
