hello all, as I am Belgian, I translated the manual into French and I added some improvements that could be helpful ... Here the samples (url) and picture http://www.guitariste.com/forums/pedales-effets-homestudio,el-capistan-settings,440511.html the pdf here A blank page settings (gift). icing on the cake and a table that shows the different speeds in each mode (Fixed, multi & single)
ps: I took your settings in the list. |

Wow, nice work you've put into this! Do you happen to be the retired firefighter I spoke to several weeks back? If so, welcome friend! — |

@ Morphball, thank you for your encouragement! I'm not the person you're talking about firemen ... I usually set fire to my fuzz, nothing more ... |

that my friend is an awesome bit of work you did. I posted the link to my el capistan pals on the gretsch pages forum. http://www.thenocturnebrain.com |

Had a chance to borrow a co-worker's El Cap last weekend and try it with my Bandmaster and pedalboard, including a TC Flashback. The Strymon is deep. Each knob's 2nd feature is great, like being able to hit the preamp with more or less gain. Lush is the word I keep coming back to. If you have an expression pedal, hooking it up to control any parameter is great - if you don't have one, this would be an excuse to get one! If I didn't already have the Flashback and not use just tape delay, this would be the pedal to get. As a disclaimer, I played once through an echoplex back in '82, so I don't really have a reference point for comparison... —'65 Fender Tremolux, '74 Princeton; 77 Vibrolux Reverb; '81 Princeton Reverb |

Be kinda neat to see those illustrations with these Hank Marvin settings. http://surfguitar101.com/forums/topic/14050/?page=1#p190256 —This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got. |

Personally, I pretty much always use the same setting, except I roll the Mix from 10:00 to 1:00 depending on how much reverb I'm using from the tank- but I'm thinking of using my Favorite to toggle the pedal's reverb on and off, so that I have a Hank setting with minimal reverb and higher echo, and one with no reverb and lower echo to play with the tank. — |

I haven't dinkered with the reverb yet since I always have my reverb unit in place, but I certainly use your rockabilly settings, Tavo. And nowhereman's Echoplex setting as well. Inspired by Morphball in the first place, and really helped by this thread! Rick —Rick |

I really wish that could be done, but the preset function seems to always save and apply all of the other settings once engaged. (It would really kick ass if I was wrong though.) Probably the closest you will come to that is to make a setting with nothing except for reverb. — |
