Danny, Our thoughts and prayers are with you for a speedy recovery. Los Straitjackets were the band that first got me into surf music (instrumental rock), and I thank all of you for that. Long may you Twang! Rev Hank, and Urban Surf Kings —Canadian Surf |

Best wishes, here's hoping for a quick - and full - recovery. —That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it. |

EDDIE ANGEL passed this link on to me: http://www.artistdata.com/los-straitjackets/news/daddy-o-grande-medical-situation/34280/ He wants me to help get the word out that the upcoming American dates are ON, even though Danny Amis (Daddy-O-Grande) will NOT be performing. A "special guest guitarist" will be joining the band for the tour -- Daddy O Grande's cousin Gregorio El Grande (from Guadalajara). Upcoming dates are here: http://www.straitjackets.com/main2.html the band needs your support! and of course Daddy-O needs your prayers and love UNSTEADY FREDDIE — |

DANNY has revealed more about his cancer on his Facebook page: I'm back home now. Thank you everybody for all the messages, I wish I could answer each one personally, but you've overwhelmed me. The type of cancer I have is called Multiple Myeloma. It's in the bone marrow and it's a tough one to fight, but you all give me plenty of reason to fight this and control it. My biggest fight will be against the healthcare system. Dig his courage and fortitude He needs our prayers, faith and love UNSTEADY FREDDIE — |

Man this is just devastating.......first Miles Corbin and now Danny Amis. My grandmother had Multiple Myeloma, very rare form of cancer. I'm sure they have come a long way in treating it since she dealt with it in the 60's. Cmon' Danny, you can do it!! Just do the Daddy-O on cancers azz!!! —2012-2013: FILTHY POLAROIDS |

Found elsewhere on the internet: "Some have suggested I take donations, and at some point I think I'll need that help. Im told its very complicated and that if I dont follow proper legal procedures I could lose all that was donated. The troops await your instructions. Best wishes from the uk. |
