No! Actually his ex wife Zebra lives here in my hometown, and were really good friends. She told me how Lee never gives her credit for starting the whole Dionysus record label.Yet she still respects the man,and as do I.

Thanks all, we've added 3 more songs from the new album to our MySpace: "The Picador" by The Excelsiors, "Cycle Sounds" by The Angry Breed and "Waggin' Your Tail" by The Royal Vikings.

ORDERED!!!
woot!
+1 Can't wait for it to arrive!
Really dig the concept of multiple band personas - and those cartoon versions of you guys for each "band" in the promo video are oh so fitting.

I'm getting them out as fast as I can - the discs arrived Monday and I got a bunch of packages out Monday and Tuesday, but then we took a family vacation the rest of the week, so the shipments will resume today. Over the next 3-4 days all pre-orders and Double Crown Music Club members will have discs in the mail to them. For more info, or to order, go here:

Its no secret that the Surfites, one of the most popular Double Crown bands ever, are a studio creation like the Kickstands, The Hondells and the Super Stocks. On this release the boys have put together their own unique collection songs with different sounds, and different band names (The Surfites, The Excelsiors, The Angry Breed and The Royal Vikings), but all delivered by the same group of musicians! 18 songs in all all originals!
Tracks: Gnarly Charlie Brown (The Surfites) The Picador (The Excelsiors) Cycle Sounds (The Angry Breed) Lets Wail (The Royal Vikings) Surf Reveille (The Surfites) Vanadis (The Excelsiors) Danger Ahead 66 (The Angry Breed) Gremmies Blues (The Surfites) Waggin Your Tail (The Royal Vikings) Strange Planet (The Excelsiors) Rebels Route (The Angry Breed) Ankle Busters (The Surfites) Campus Workout (The Royal Vikings) Lunatic Express (The Excelsiors) Barrel Run (The Surfites) Disillusional Youth (The Angry Breed) Western Moon (The Excelsiors) La Ronde Infernale (The Surfites)

Only problem with the Surfites is that with each album I find it harder to go back to the ones before it. Best one yet, love the production too!

Thanks, I too think it's our best one to date. For a short period after each new release, I've also had some difficulties to be fully satisfied with mainly the production of the earlier album(s) but after a while find that I'm actually quite pleased with it overall. We are steadily going in the right direction in order to achieve the production sound we've always been looking for and I think we're now pretty close with our latest.
Thanks again everyone!

Thanks guys!
Just got notice from Sean that the new album is now also available from CDBaby. Check out the sound samples which I think will give a really good idea of what to expect from it.
