Cool Cool videos Mel. Why didn't you wear Hot Pants Laughing ? j/k, that Vaquero song is cool man, also Mark IV, and Lover's Rock Cool BTW what amp are you using? At first glance I thought it was one of those new Super Sonic Amps.

The Deadbeats

Abraham,
The shows with the hot pants were never recorded, or the tapes were burned. Smile
The amp is my '63 Showman in a 1x15" combo cabinet. Drew was using my '67 Twin Reverb (tolexed blonde) and Eddie had my 2x15" Bandmaster cabinet which I recently bought back from him and currently is used by Karen in MBP.
Mel

Laughing Burned huh? Maybe you'll find something in the "Vaults" with you fellas wearing Hot Pants Laughing Shocked A Show Man, did you put that one together? 2x15 huh? I asked Zak and he told that 2x15 is good for the bass, this video just convinces me more. Hey that Mark IV song reminds me of some MBP song I've heard, the intro I mean Cool

HA! The Alvarados involved varying degrees of dress, though the Elms gig was on the less formal side. Here's a few highlights from the Alvarados scrapbook:

cool tikis in the back ground.
Wink

I wish I had video of you guys playing the 4 sets at the Swallos inn, in
San Juan Capistrano on the Sun afternoon, that was a great mix of the vocals and instros that day,

Jeff(bigtikidude)

I don't remember the name of the bar, it was in San Francisco, I think on Broadway, but it's long gone.

Those Swallows Inn shows were fun. You were a champ stickin' out the whole gig!

The sat nite one was funny you guys were def playing up the country side of things, as they wanted to line dance really bad to your music.

the sunday afternoon show was 4 sets and you guys played tons of surf songs also. that was a great show, too bad there was maybe 6 people there. Shocked

Jeff(bigtikidude)

The country line-dance thing was odd, but we survived. As for Sunday, I guess I was drinking alot, I thought I saw twelve people at that show!

You must've been drinking a lot 'cause there were only six. You really need to get a handle on that Maneschewitz problem. Smile

Yikes! I played with Drew here in Delaware for a while, and we certainly had some unusual gigs, but we never played shirtless... My hat (and shirt) are off to you, Mel!
