I'm pretty sure he does, I'l ask him for sure on Sat. nite
I think alot of people are lazy or afraid of navigatig around so much.
that why they liked the Yahoo groups better, it was easy, it came to them.
Wish all you Non Calif peeps could be here for the shows.
I hope the turn out will be ok, as its a holiday weekend.
and alot of people may be busy.

Sigh. . . I tuned in just as the show ended. I had so wanted to listen, but I had a big wrench thrown into those plans. I guess I'll just have to settle for seeing a show in person. Very Happy

Did anyone record the show? I will ask Clint too. Unfortunately, I couldn't be at home during the broadcast so I missed the whole thing! The ironic thing about the whole Kilaueas tour is that they are playing 12-13 shows, and the only one I'll be able to see is their show in Bellingham on the 16th! I hope all you folks in San Diego dig their show tonight, and hopefully everything went okay with the radio appearance this afternoon!

A real pleasure sharing the stage with the Kilaueas last night. Wow, a blistering set from the Kilaueas for almost an hour and a half. Ralph, Volker, Tom and Oli were all fantastic. One hell of an evening, two cool bands playing surf and twang through vintage Fender amps all night long.

holly Bejesus, what a night. Ok don't get me worng I love seeing all the local bands I see all the time. But I couldn't help thinking last
night- "Man these guys are soooo good", and "it's really fun to see a new band" I know they aren't new, but new to our ears as a live band.
Just toatal energy, showmanship, and killer songs and sounds.
Of course provided by Outterwave's and John Benton of the Lively Ones
amps and drums they provided. Thanks guys again for doin that and Tony for puttin the show together for them, after I thought of it? Wink

I really must recomend if it is at all possible to get out to see any of their shows that you do it. You won't be dissapointed.

Good mix of alot of Originals from them and some very cool semi obscure covers.

1 down 3 to go for me.

I've kinda lost contact with the band since their tour started, but it sounds like things are going well so far. A million thanks to all of the bands and people that have helped out with the tour so far!!!

Thanks,

The band tore up the Hintington Beach International Surfing Museum! Here is some video, no sound as well as a few pics. For those not there, you REALLY missed it!

The show at the Surf Museum was even more energetic than the 2 nights before, Both the Surf Kings and the Kilaueas rocked downtown
big time. They played a little over a hour and 15 min I think. after the Surf Kings did a 50 min set.
Great mix of tons of originals from all 3 cds and some cool covers.
Later in the afternoon Tony' the drummer form Outterwave was having a Back yard party for the Holiday weekend. I got there at 6 pm and it was goin stong, all kinds of jams with memebers from many different bands, and a few of Tony's family and friends.
The Kilaueas were supposed to be comin, but we just partied on for hours without them. Seems they were drinking and saying thankyou and Goodbye to Ted and his gracious new wife for letting them stay there for about a week. Which is understandable. So the Jams stopped at around 10 pm for legal reasons, But the Kilaueas showed up at 10:30 or so.
We asked them to do a few songs, 3 or 4, they ended up playin about 40 min/ or so. til about midnight , no neighbor complaints, and no cops. cool beans. They sold some merch even at the party. and hung out and ate and drank some bad american beer, ha ha, till someone brought some newcastles.
I think they are gonna cruz up the Ca coast a bit, for their 2 days off, and then come back down for the Baja Cantina show on Wed.
this is your last chance to see this Killer band in So Cal people.
get yo asses to that show.
grinnin from ear to ear
