While I'm the first to admit I'm new to RSS feeds, the Windows software I'm using (RSSReader) reports that the URL for the news feeds are actually web pages... and quite right it is; there's a message on the web pages for the feeds announcing the module is off. I just mention it, 'coz:
..and yet there's no RSS feed at all, hence it looks like something has crashed and reset the module somehow...? —I'm as free from money as a frog is from feathers |

Another relatively good way to play catch up on the forums in case your cookies get messed up and posts are not getting marked as new is to use the Comments Module. Just change it over to Forums and you can quickly scan the last 10, 20, 50, etc forum posts and even filter by user. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

What reader are you using Dane? I'd like to check this out myself. For a while I was using the free Google labs RSS reader. And I'm not responsible for fixing that up, just installing it. Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

I just use Safari, which has a basic-but-good-enough reader built in. Google Reader seems to work ok too. |

Just noticed one little quirk: when I click a "read more" link on a post in the RSS feed, now it always takes me to the first page of the thread. It used to link to the specific post. |

Can I just say that the week the server down was really really bad. Didn't like it at all.. |

The server was not down a week. Geez I think I would have noticed that. I was getting sporadic reports from people in Australia that they could not access the server for a week or so, but that was a problem on their end I think (some localized DNS problem in Australia). And anyway, that was a week or two prior to the server move and wasn't related. Are you in the UK? I didn't hear about any UK problems. Wow. When the DNS flipped the domain name from the old server to the new one, we were down for maybe 6 or 8 hours because I was asleep when it happened. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

As I've previously mentioned, I'm new to RSS feeds... but I wonder if nukeFEED has the capability to add a field like "Published" or "Posted" date? I'm using a fairly simple RSS reader (and I've verified it by examining the source generated using plain old FireFox's rendering of RSS feeds) that no date field is included in the feed stream, although the username of the poster is included. Even if the date/time is only relevant to the server, it would still give an indication of how old the postings are from within the RSS reader. —I'm as free from money as a frog is from feathers |
