Last night's show was a great way to kick off the new year, not to mention getting back to playing live after about a year off for recording, writing, etc. Ginger's Tavern is a small, nicely laid out venue with capacity of about 100. Over 100 people came out to hear us and the Bakersfield style Country of the Whiskey Kisses. We started off the evening, followed by the Kisses, then we wrapped up the night with one more set. It was nice to have a chance to play a bunch of new material before the CD comes out next month. A big portion of the show featured the baritone guitar too...that'll get them dancin' everytime. Our 2 sets were pretty much all originals with a short Link Wray set, and a couple of Dick Dale tunes (I know Misirlou's played to death, but it sure gets them dancin' everytime). Ain't nothing like playing for an appreciative audience! We even sold some CDs. Rev —Canadian Surf |
