I just got a copy of The Krontjong Devils Sizzling Sampan and Other Favorites (Double Crown) for my birthday. The 4 song ep is really good! There's lots of reverb, great songwriting, and some excellent/hi-energy drumming. Anyone who has a copy of "War of the Surf Guitars" will be familiar with "Land Beyond the Moon". The energy and sound of that track is representative of the other 3 songs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

From what I remember, Sean from Double Crown said that it didn't sell as well as he had hoped, and pretty much put an end to his label's 45rpm releases. If you don't have it, do yourself a favour and pick it up from him! It's only $2.00, as are all the other cool 45's (Boss Martians, the Penetrators)

definitley a highly-recommended 7" (as are their two full lengths). Even if you do not own a turntable, you should still pick up 7"s and vinyl. Turntables will most likely outlive limited-edition surf/instro vinyl

For the past year or so I've been including a CD-R with the Sizzling Sampan songs on it for anyone that purchases the 7" - just ask for the CD-R when you order.
