Pretty different but both fun! Need also Ennio for collection)
So, maybe somebody is interested in short comparison. They are both Fuzzrite based and generally sound pretty similar, but with some differences.
First one is gain - here you see it with similar gain level. Moriconne has less gain and fuzz on tap but I find it good, fuzz starts really singing in high settings, but Spaghetti western for me is pretty unusable after 1-2 o’clock, too much gain and screaming.
Morricone is also is brighter and more transparent even in extreme settings
Spaghetti Western is more wooly and bassy and has more body generally
Morricone is also a little harder gated in some settings, but I find it fun.
In some low settings I like Spaghetti Western more, but after noon I find Morricone more useable.
I guess I will keep both for a while and see. I have some tunes with fuzzy solos that I plan to record and it will be showtime for them and probably we’ll have a winner)
