Not saying it’s my most favorite amp’d up aggro version ever, but I like it. I’ve seen Leo’s videos before and while there are some really stellar stand outs, once I listen to/watch 3, 4, or 5 of them in a sitting, they all start to sound exactly the same.

That said, I like the energy, drive, vibe overall and arrangement here. I give him bonus points for what I see as a real tasteful use of wah, an effect I usually don’t care for that much.

I think we can add this to the list of examples that support the point regularly made that a lot of Surf music is pretty much metal without distortion.

Nice arrangement. Not a fan of the blast beat, but with Leo that's to be expected Smile

While not my cup of tea, I think it sounds good for the vibe you're going for. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Thanks for sharing.
There was another version of mr. Monsour's classic back in the 80's or 90's, I forgot the name of the band, that sounded identical to this one, bar the overdrive and/or distortion. I suppose all versions that don't use reverb will sound like this. Not really my thing, but at least it sounds better than those crap exotica versions. But that may just be because I don't like exotica whatsoever.
