A big thank you to all our vets, here and elsewhere. All too often your sacrifice is taken for granted.

Also a heartfelt thank you to all the WW II vets. That was truly a special generation.

Signal Corps! Iknew there was something special about you. Now I understand. My father was in the Signal Corps during WW II. He got a government paid tour of the Pacific. Saw all those lovely places, Scarlet Beach, Corregidor, Leytke, Luzon, Manila, Nagasaki, and Yokohama.

If you like your freedom, thank a vet.

A big Mahalo to all the vets of all wars, without whom our reverb would not sound the same..........
Myself, I was 4-F during the Vietnam....what exactly was the Vietnam thing? Never was declared a war.
Anyway, thank you all!!

I believe Vietnam was called a "Police Action" or something like that. But the 56+ thousand Americans who never came home were just as dead as if it had been a "war".

Whatever it was called, it sure left a lasting imprint on our Country.

Thank you, to all who paid the ultimate price to keep us free.

You're not drunk if you can put your socks on while standing.

I forgot to mention that even though we didn't meet until 27 years later, Eddie Katcher and I were going through basic combat training at Fort Knox, KY at the same time back in 1970.

Since the founding of our country, many brave souls paid the ultimate sacrifice for something greater than themselves and many more souls have had their lives compromised because of an underlying sense of duty, honor and country. This legacy of being the mighty wall that guarantees our freedom is why we all owe more than just a debt of gratitude to our brothers and sisters in harms way. We owe our way of life to them. May God bless all those men and women who bear arms in defense of freedom. Remember them... support them... pray for them.

Well stated ToneBoy. I concur 100%

Resurrecting this 10 year old thread. Happy Veterans day to all SG101 surf music fans and musicians. I served in the US Air Force right after high school graduation. This photo of me was taken in basic training; while listening to a Van Halen cassette on a brand new, state-of-the-art Sony Walkman!
