Does anyone ever go through wanting to sell all their gear and just buy a few nice pieces to have? (not that i don't have nice gear already)

No but I do have a ton of pedals that I'd happily sell. I love all my amps!

Daniel Deathtide

Not really in terms of guitars. I already have one really nice guitar and a couple other cool ones, plus others that I've modded/fixed up. I'm more into fixing and modding things to make them my own, and just don't feel compelled to ditch those in favor of something nice and shiny and new.

Although I could get sucked into buying a really nice acoustic guitar...

i regularly go through periods of absolute minimalism. that’s why i sold my vintage and japan mosrites years back. i only keep the strat i’ve had since 1997.

now that i’ve built myself a pile of amplifiers i’m not sure they’d be worth selling used.

pedals though, i sold the one i always regret: deluxe memory man. everything else i have no attachment to.

I sold everything just few years ago. 2017-18. Some real high end gits and amps.Reverb tanks, vintage pedals.Name it. From tweed to plexis. No regrets. Had my reasons. Now I have three electrics. A Gretsch and two Fenders, a beautiful Martin, one reverb tank and a vintage Gretsch 6162 amp. Im very happy now.

I do this same thing too. I have my same main bass and Strat. But sometimes I think I’ll just get rid of them all and keep one of each thing
