Strat, how is the decay on your pan? I am thinking about getting one, but I am concerned about the long decay.

I would say it's perfect. I have a MOD, Revisit and Accutronics and the Surfy pan is hands down the most perfect of them all. The drip is amazing, and the tail is hardly noticeable at high dwell. I bought mine after doing a gig with Lorenzo and loved his reverb. Clear as a bell and drippy. —The Kahuna Kings https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Kahuna-Kings/459752090818447 https://thekahunakings.bandcamp.com/releases Last edited: May 23, 2022 17:29:18 |

I stuck a Surfypan into my Deluxe Reverb RI and it sounds stellar! I'm actually getting onboard drip! The old Accutronics pan it had in it was bad (so shrill that I couldn't use it) so I popped for the Surfypan - totally love it. If you're looking for lush straight reverb or drip, this pan is pretty swell. |

Nice! any clips? I’m building a princeton reverb for a friend. My accutronics I do all my testing with actually gets a decent bit of drip in the circuit, so I know the surfy will be even better. I’ll ship the amp with my other surfy pan. the_devils_tool wrote:

Hmm. I may have to pick up a pan to see how it sounds in my Tone King Imperial MKII. |

I posted a very short clip on my site, if the external link is against SG101 policy I can attempt to figure out how to get posted here, uploading it to youtube seems like a hassle. The first part of the clip is the onboard reverb at 5, the second part of the clip is onboard reverb at 10 - it's a modded DRRI (Fromel deluxe, likely, before I bought it) with a 12" Jupiter speaker. I'm sure it's not capturing exactly what's coming out of the amp, but this was a quickie and sounds good enough to give you an idea. Last edited: Jun 26, 2022 10:51:04 |

Could this be attached to the Surfybear Compact? I know it won't fit IN the unit - but would it be compatible, if you needed a fuller sound for recording? |

The SurfyBear Metal does not have the Decay function that the Compact has, so you'll want to experiment with that. —http://www.satanspilgrims.com |

I am about to purchase a SurfyPan from Surfy Industries. Before I do, I wanted to make sure it will fit in my reissue Fender reverb unit. Ted, kindly let me know if I can swing by and pick it up one day (or vice versa). Looking forward to trying it out! —MooreLoud.com - A tribute to Dick Dale. |

I just ordered one, I can't wait to try it! Also, I was surprised they had an option for local pickup. I would like to think I had something to do with that. Ha! —MooreLoud.com - A tribute to Dick Dale. |

I’ve got it in my SurfyBear Classic for a couple of years cause the default one was broken after several years of heavy usage, or probably I’ve just kicked it too hard during a live show) I couldn’t really A/B test them but I think I like it better with a shorter decay. —Waikiki Makaki surf-rock band from Ukraine New Single is out! https://waikikimakaki.bandcamp.com/album/rhino-blues-full-contact-surf-single Waikiki Makaki https://linktr.ee/waikikimakaki Lost Diver https://lostdiver.bandcamp.com |

No, I think I like Surfy Pan better and probably that’s because of shorter decay. I also keep Decay down on my Compact so I guess it works for me. —Waikiki Makaki surf-rock band from Ukraine New Single is out! https://waikikimakaki.bandcamp.com/album/rhino-blues-full-contact-surf-single Waikiki Makaki https://linktr.ee/waikikimakaki Lost Diver https://lostdiver.bandcamp.com |
