We've got some studio time booked in Jan & Feb, working with our friend/local engineer Bryan in his studio the Golden Mallard located downtown in beautiful Elkhart, Indiana.
Bryan lent us a hand and mixed the recording of "Split the Sea" which was recorded by my in my basement. Check that out on Bandcamp: https://thetentakills.bandcamp.com/track/split-the-sea
This song and 10 others will be put down for a release later this year.
I hope to provide snippets and sneak peaks as possible if there is interest. And, let's be honest, also if there is not interest haha.

Couple pics from our sessions so far.
We wrapped drums yesterday, moved on to tracking guitars which will most likely get finished up next week.

Looking forward to it, man! Hopefully we can do some shows in 2022! We plan on hitting the new Off the Cuff recording studio when it's up and running in the new space, so maybe we can connect while that is happening.

Weather delayed us, but we are back at it this week.
I played my AVRI Jag yesterday, got a few songs down.
Hoping to get through all guitars by week’s end and then move on to bass.
Word on the street is that we have a trumpet player able to play on one track!
Early bounces sound awesome, we’re capturing the feel of how we play our particular brand of music. Definitely not a sound in a box kind of deal.

We’re getting closer to finishing up! Mike is in the hot seat tonight, getting his bass parts recorded.
I’ve got to play guitar on one more song, then we have few changes and tweaks in mind here & there before it gets mixed and mastered.

Quick update:
We’ve been gigging while our recording engineer has been taking care of a few things and was away from the studio.
We are picking up where we left off, getting the songs mixed and final details set before sending them to be mastered. Once that is complete we can get in line with the record pressing folks and let the process play out.
Speaking of playing out, here’s a shot from a recent Tentakills gig in Chicago:

This has been a long process, but I have gone through everything and narrowed down a few changes/edits/updates to make on two songs.
Once those are done, we will be locked in and sending to for mastering.
Finding time has been my biggest challenge, with work and gigs and all, but I see a window of opportunity coming soon.

Speaking of windows, here is a quick shot of our setup at a gig over the weekend.
