Permalink Affordable “Surf Guitar” (Jazzmaster) from Squier!

New Topic

Picked this up a couple of months ago … 2021 Squier Affinity Jazzmaster in Burgundy Mist.
I only modified cosmetic stuff (pickguard, pickup covers, vol & tone knobs) everything else is stock.
The Pickups are actually single coil , not P90’s as many assume…
Pretty excellent for under 300 bucks!

congrats , glad you like it . Just to clarify though , P90s are single coil . I think you meant that these are not P90s but another form of single coil . I took the 'hot' JM pickups out of a mexican JM and those were wound similar to a p90 , narrow and deep as opposed to true wide shallow Jazzmaster pickups .

Ah, thanks!

The good news is that you can easily fit more traditional pickups in there should you ever want to.
