New Topic

I owned an early 60s Fender mustang, and still kick myself for trading it in...it was white, and aged to yellow with a clown vomit guard. You don't see these around much anymore. It also had an original case, which was silver! Meeemmmories!

When Surf Guitar is outlawed only outlaws will play Surf Guitar.

Okay…what is a clown vomit pickguard?

I am not obsolete, I am RETRO.... Cool

That’s my favorite color. Smile

Could this be clown vomit? This is what Fender used on the early (1982-84) American Vintage series guitars and basses, the ones built in the old Fullerton factory. These are usually referred to as "pepperoni" pickguards, though.

Yes, I removed it.

Thanks Gillette for clearing that up….yup it’s definitely interesting.

I need this now, but i think one of the main ingredients is unobtanium.

Hey I think Spitfire is getting some funky colors on his PGs. Perhaps he’d make some specials?!

Hey, Woody J,
Yes it was very much like your P Bass, but a little more red.
Thanks for the post.

Harry from Fleishman Instruments had a block whipped up to make custom guards and parts. He may still have some.
