Ah, yes, I remember it well. The Beatles phenomenon wasn't just about music, it was also about style and rock bands. The Beatles' hair--as shown on this photo--was considered very long and radical in the USA, even in New York City. Young men adopted the look, then other Brit groups appeared with longer hair and the popular "Beatle haircut" faded from view. Meanwhile it became popular to join a band and play guitar, drums or bass, or to follow a band closely and talk about it.
