Hi everybody)

Any experience with enriching the sound of a single guitar in a band with harmonizer? I’ve got this pedal as a gift, nice to fiddle with it at home but still cannot find a use in live surf guitar context.

Yep, I think the same. But I still think of making second rhythm guitar sound somehow, but the only way I see for now is just recording it as a minus and playing on scene. Surely not an option as for me(

TC Electronic makes some interesting gear. It looks like a great example of a harmonizer, but I agree, it probably wouldn’t come in handy for Surf.

The artist formerly known as: Synchro

When Surf Guitar is outlawed only outlaws will play Surf Guitar.

I had a EH Pitchfork for a few months - fun to add an octave below or slight chorusing.

With that pedal, you could play leads with a melodic third above - it automatically figures out the major/minor third depending on the key. So great if you solo, not so great if you're only playing chords.

Trick is to dial in the mix at 40% or so so that you sort of hear it, but it's there...

'65 Fender Tremolux, '74 Princeton; 77 Vibrolux Reverb; '81 Princeton Reverb
'65-66 Hilgen Basso Grande
Dr. Z MAZ 18 Jr. + 1x12 Cab
Various Telecasters and noise-making pedals
Farfisa Compact Duo

To me, I think the best application for a harmony pedal would be to play an octave lower with 50% mix with the dry signal for a quasi Bass VI sound.
