Check out the online portion of this great exhibition that opened yesterday. Lots of great photos of some of the items on display. If you happen to go, it is in Terminal Two. Really neat that Surf is being recognized by a real, legit mainstream organization in a serious way.

This is really cool! I see that several members of this forum contributed to this exhibition. Thanks to all of you. Now I guess I just need to find the cheapest flight going out of terminal 2 to check it out in person.

Per the Museum's FAQs:

Can I visit the galleries without a boarding pass?

Yes. Of SFO Museum’s thirty galleries, only ten are located beyond security checkpoints. Exhibitions and public art located beyond a security checkpoint can be viewed without a boarding pass by prior arrangement with SFO Museum. Please contact curator@FlySFO.com for additional details and to schedule a visit. Please note: visits must take place during regular business hours and visits must be scheduled at least one week in advance.

Really great!

!!! I think I would shit my pants if I stumbled upon that exhibit. It’s also so exciting to be able to remember when Mel got that Showman.

That looks like a first class exhibit with lots of historically significant pieces! Kudos to the people who lent their treasures.

Hey a nice fella (invisible man) at OSG just posted this awesome bunch of photos of this exhibit! So many cool items... anyone heard those Fender ss reverbs?

Thanks for linking to my post on OSG, I am on both forums but more active over there. That could change. Wish I had more time at the exhibit, had to catch my flight.

Thank you!
