Thanks to you guys' advice, I just ordered a sealed compact 1x15 cab. The dimensions Peter recommended are 26”W x 20”H x 11 ½”D. Do these measurements sound correct to you? When I get home, I will measure my 1x12. I want it to be a little larger than my current cab.
Anyway, my question for you guys is the difference in sound. Will there be a real world, noticeable difference between my 1x12 and the new 1x15? Looking forward to hearing you guys' feedback!

About the measurements. I chose 28"x18"x11.5" since I use Brownface Showman amps which are 26" wide. I didn't want the head sides to be flush with the cab when sitting on the wide side.
If you like how 26"x20" looks like with your head, go for it.
Can't comment on difference between 1x15 and 1x12 as I don't have a 1x12.
All the best,
Ran

I agree with you about having the sides being wider, therefore I will tell him to make the width 28". Thank you for your input!

So glad kick_the_reverb encouraged me to have my new compact Mather cab 28 inches wide. If/when I do ever find a brownface showman (or have a clone made), the sides of the cab will be slightly be wider than the amp.

Not yet, he was booked up for months. I should have it in the middle of September. Can't wait for it to arrive!

can’t wait to see and hear. I LOVE 15s on guitar. peter is a great guy and makes lovely cabinets (even for some up-market amp makers.)
I decided to build my own compact 15” cabinet while I put some cash aside for a mather 15” tone ring. my dimensions are a bit odd. it HAD to be 24” wide to match my 2x10. the height and depth were calculated to suit bass, baritone, and guitar tunings.

cosmonaut, I am sure your cab looks nice. However, I agree that your measurements are unique!
