I wasn't at this either, wish I was,
but they haven't played in about a year.

Thanks for posting Jeff. How did you get this so quick? I was there yesterday and I saw Sammy running the camera, but I didn't know he was going global with it. This is a month long series of surf music shows at the Carlsbad Outlet Mall. It's promoting the California Surf Museum and surf music awareness. It was good to see/hear The Deoras again. They sounded excellent and you'd never know they hadn't played in a year.

My band, Superwave is playing this event next sunday Aug. 19th with Steve B. from The Deoras playing drums for us.

Surf Kings are playing Aug.26th.

So, if you need a new pair of Vans or sunglasses, come on down...
Ben

I'm trying to figure out what pedals he's using. The blue one seems to be a reverb or something, not too sure, but he sounds great. A lot better than the guy playing messy jazz funk at guitar center today. sheesh

The blue pedal was a beat up old delay pedal. The other one may have just been a tuner. Mike was playing a vintage Twin Reverb and using the on-board tank.

Thanks for the videos jeff...

t,s cool ......
